1.- Wipe all oil from the axle housing. Clean each ring gear tooth carefully.
2.- Apply a light coat of gear marking compund to the drive side of the ring teeth <b>Figure 27</b>

3.- Rotate the ring gear slowly in both directions. Compare the contact pattern pressed into the marking compund with those shown in <b>Figure 28.</b>

If the pattern is not correct, have the differential disassembled and adjusted.
